Cool Post; not aptly named.

Today I was working at Cool Post... and it was very very warm. The back room is air conditioned, but with the large windows open to the outside, the front room gets very uncomfortable.

Today I was working with Katie from Illinois - who is very good at her job and a delight to talk to. Felipe from Colombia showed up later and helped us out as well; this was the first day where I didn't feel like someone (or myself) was incapable of doing their job. It was nice :) We sell ice cream, slushies, beer, fountain pop and hot dogs. A refreshment stop around the World Showcase. I like working around WS because most of the guests are of my generation - it's a long walk for older folks and a boring one for small children. You get some interesting conversations when people find out you are their age and from Canada! Especially if they are 'drinking around the world' and are mildly intoxicated when they start up a conversation!

A long ten hour day, and my favorite moment was when a couple came to my window, ordered their food, and while waiting commented on where I was from. "Nova Scotia! You're a long way from home!" is a very common thing that I hear, which the guy said to me; but then the wife looked at me and said, "Your English is very good! Practically perfect!"

... Thanks? Also, practically?!

I looked at her, and told her it was my native language, and her husband just burst out laughing. She was a little embarrassed once she realized it was Canada we were talking about. But we all laughed about it and it made my day.

My till didn't balance today - I was a whole nickel short! ;) While I was hoping to keep my 0.00$ streak going, I'm not complaining about a busy day and 5 cents!

I got home in time to facetime my daddy and brother before they headed off to sleep :) Time for bed and a movie for me, and up bright and early for Animal Kingdom tomorrow!!
